This round trip is dedicated to diving in Costa Rica. Explore the spectacular underwater world of the most beautiful diving areas in Costa Rica. Do not miss the highlights on land.

  1. Day 1 Arrival in San José

    Your guide will pick you up at the airport and accompany you to the hotel.

    Depending on the time of arrival, your guide will guide you through the city center of San José and surrounding districts with lots of charm. You will learn a lot about the history and current situation of the capital and get to know the core points.

    For the evening, you will receive tips for restaurants near your hotel.

  2. Day 2 Poás Volcano - Drive to Playas del Coco

    Immediately after breakfast you will drive to the Poás Volcano, whose turquoise blue crater will be able to discover the vegetation-lined paths after a small hike. You can also visit the other volcanic lagoons.

    Then continue towards Guanacaste to the Pacific coast. The goal is the cocos beaches ”Playas del Coco”, which we reach after about 4 hours drive. You can end the evening in a relaxed way to be fit for your first two dives for the next day.

  3. Day 3 Diving at the Papagayo Gulf - Playas del Coco

    Today we will go diving at the Gulf of Papagayo. Enjoy your first two dives in one of the most beautiful diving areas in Costa Rica.

  4. Day 4 Diving at Bat Islands - Santa Rosa National Park - Playas del Coco

    Today you will dive at the Bat Islands. The archipelago is protected by nature and belongs to the Santa Rosa National Park, which is located in the north of Guanacaste. You can count on great redsnaps, mojarras and eaglebreaks. Turtles and mackerels are waiting for the divers! The main attraction, however, are the bull sharks, which can reach a length of up to 3.5 m.

  5. Day 5 Diving at Catalina Islands - Santa Rosa National Park - Playas del Coco

    On your third day of diving ou will visit Catalina Islands. Typical for these dive sites are mainly large fish swarms with thousands of mackerel, cownose rays and devil rays. Between November and May there is a high probability of observing the 4 to 7 meter wide manta rays!

  6. Day 6 Protective Zone Monteverde - Drive to Uvita

    Today the visit to the Protective Zone Monteverde provides a bit of variety. Get to know the dense biodiversity of cloud forest and enjoy the view from above, from the up to 70 meters high hanging bridges.

    In the evening we arrive at Uvita.

  7. Day 7 Diving at Marino Ballena National Park - Uvita

    On the fourth day of diving, you will explore the largest coral reef in the Pacific of Costa Rica. It is located in the first marine park of Costa Rica, the Marino Ballena in Uvita.

  8. Day 8 Manuel Antonio National Park - Uvita

    After breakfast, we drive to Quepos Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most beautiful in the country. We go on a hike on the search for animals and birds. We can also relax on the beautiful beaches.

    In the afternoon we drive back to Uvita.

  9. Day 9 Uvita - Drive to Drake Bay

    The morning is at your leisure. After lunch, we will go to Sierpe, where we will change into a boat to go through the mangrove forests to Drake Bay. You have the evening at leisure to explore the fishing village and to relax.

  10. Day 10 Diving at Isla del Caño Biological Reserve - Drake Bay

    Another diving highlight is Caño Island, which is located 15 km off the coast and is protected by nature. 3 miles around the island is forbidden to fish, so there is plenty of fish to be found here. There are big swarms of jackfish and barracudas, but also rays and manta rays as well as sharks are among the attractions. Between the dives you get the opportunity to explore the island on foot. In the afternoon, return to Drake Bay.

  11. Day 11 Diving at Isla del Caño Biological Reserve - Drake Bay

    Second day of diving at Caño Island. You will get to know two more dive spots around the island.

  12. Day 12 Diving at Isla del Caño Biological Reserve - Drake Bay

    Enjoy your last diving day in Costa Rica! Fill out your logbook and take home the awesome memories.

  13. Day 13 Return to San José

    After an approximately 6-hour drive you are back in the capital San José. Your guide will say good-bye to you and you can relax the rest of the day at the hotel or go for a round of San José.

  14. Day 14 Goodbye Costa Rica

    The hotel’s shuttle service will take you to the airport. We wish you a good flight!
