Chirripó National Park

In the Chirripó National Park, the highest point of Costa Rica, the Cerro Chirripó, rises with 12,532 ft (3,820 meters) above the sea level. In addition to the Chirripó Mountain, you can discover 5 other impressive areas of geological and ecological importance: Sabana de los Leones (Savannah of the Lions), Valle de las Morrenas (Valley of the Moraines), Cerro Ventisqueros (Glacier), Valle de los Lagos (Valley of the Lakes) and Valle de los Conejos (Valley of the rabbits). Depending on the altitude, the climate and the weather conditions vary greatly. This place is well suited for hikers as it is possible to spend several days in the National Park.
